Life Force Pathways
LifeForce Pathways is owned and operated by Lee Hindrichs RN RCRT. She developed LifeForce Pathways to fill the need for preventative medicine in her
community.
The focus was on therapeutic treatments for clients that are both profoundly effective as a preventitive llifestyle and effective in treating exisiting conditions in ways that engage the body’s ability to heal…not just mask symptoms.
Over the years the business has expanded to include courses on developing wellness plans, teaching reflexology and reiki. Of course the standbys of hands on treatment are still available.
Who Is Lee Hindrichs?
Lee is passionate about well-being and living a life of optimal health. Presently she runs a busy wellness practice in Sooke BC.
She has a long history in health care. 29 years as a Registered Nurse and close to 20 years researching complementary health practices. Lee underwent her own battle with an ‘incurable’ chronic disease, and came out the other side whole, healthy and knowing that there are many ways to optimal health.
You just have to find your own footpath to get there
Lee began practising reflexology in 2000 and added Reiki in 2001, and expanded again in 2010 into energy work and wellness planning. She’s always open to inquires about your health and generally knowledgeable about many health care practices. Although she’d never tell you to abandon conventional medical practice she can often let you know what else is available.
Principles of Practice
Attunement: Finding areas of tension in the body is akin to having a window into the internal landscape of an individual.
By being attuned to each client I can listen to their body’s story.
Rapport: A relationship of trust creates a safe environment to unload some of the burdens of the mind and the body.
Confidentiality: To be a facilitator in any individuals wellness plan or in their healing journey is a position of respect. Each clients information is held in strict confidence. Always.
Professionalism: Membership in regulated bodies and adhearing to established codes of conduct is foundational to practice and to ongoing educational opportunities.
Ongoing Study: Learning the body, the study of anatomy, physiology and pathology give a picture of what being unwell encompasses.
Studying energy work, nutrition and complementary practices gives directions towards what true wellness, the harmony of a body in balance, can be.
Often when we study a subject we break it down into manageable units. We deconstruct it to try to understand individual points. This method offers some very useful information but it neglects to acknowledge that we are more than the sum of our parts. It misses the synergy of interworking parts and it also neglects the fact that we are living organic sentient beings in a continuously shifting balance. We are our physical bodies, our hormones, our thoughts, our actions, our emotions and our spiritual self. They must all be in a harmonious balance.
About Reflexology and Reiki.
All things in health whether it be sore feet, chronic pain or chronic disease
are a result of your body being out of its optimal balance.
The good news is that reflexology and reiki can tweak you back to optimal balance, naturally. Treatments like reflexology, reiki, acupressure facials and energy-work all work with your body to move you towards your optimal balance. Whether your dealing with sore feet or cancer, chemotherapy, surgical recovery, irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia, depression, weight issues, neck and shoulder pain, sciatica
or infertility you’ll find that this type of body work will have some level of
effectiveness.
How do Reflexology and Reiki work?
Reflexology and energy work such as reiki and acupressure ‘communicate’ with the
body’s own very powerful self-healing mechanisms
to help redirect the body towards the optimal possible balance that gives optimal functioning. It is what the body wants.
It is what every homeostatic mechanism in the body is designed to do. Diseases like cancer, diabetes, obesity, heart disease and all of the chronic culprits of our day are cases where the body’s compensatory mechanisms are over stressed and they are functioning poorly.
Symptoms from pain to shortness of breath to fatigue, irritability and angst are all messages the body is sending to say ‘I need help! What your doing right now isn’t
working and I can’t compensate adequately.’ Clients who experience a reflexology,
reiki , energy or acupressure facial session invariably report a decrease in
symptoms, whatever the symptoms, and begin to move in the direction of healing.
Who are Reflexology and Reiki for?
In a word. Everyone. Neither age nor condition has a bearing on who will benifit
from these treatments.
Whether you are actively pursuing wellness or need intervention for an existing condition; evidence based studies have shown significant results in virtually every condition tested. Some of the people who receive reflexology are:
- Healthy people who want to stay that way.
- Couples struggling with fertility.
- Pre-op and Post-op patients.
- Infants
- Children
- Elderly
- Chronic disease
- Cancer patients
- Chronic pain
- Insomnia
- Trauma victims
- Emotional Scarring
- Addictions
- Sore feet
- Back issues
- Headaches
In numerous studies covering 100″s of conditions these modalities have beeen
found to be effective. Why? Because they are working with the body’s own healing
systems. And there is nothing, absolutely nothing, more powerful than the body’s
own ability to heal. For some conditions modifications will be made to
reflexology sessions but contraindication is only present for cases of
phlebitis. Their is no record of any condition that Reiki cannot be used in.
What is Reflexology and Reiki for?
Since disease is a reflection of a body thats out of balance and reflexology &
rieki are aimed at putting the body back into balance
it stands to reason that every disease profile is going to respond. What does it mean to bring a body into balance?
What is actually happening?
The sessions aren’t aimed at treating a specific disorder. Rather they are aimed at enabling the body’s own healing system to better avail itself of the resources it has. For one thing the parasympathetic response-that’s the rest, repair, rebuild mode – and normalizing functions are being invoked. This could be called the ‘anti-stress’ mode. A placewhere our society needs to spend a lot more time!
